The South Brisbane District Cricket Club was established in 1897 and is located in the suburb of Fairfield, Brisbane.
Home of the mighty Magpies and one of the oldest cricket clubs in Brisbane, it has been home to many great cricketers in its history including Sam Trimble, Greg Chappell, Craig McDermott, Andrew Bichel, Ben Cutting and Billy Stanlake. For the 2020-21 season, the club has also recruited former Australian international player Gurinder Sandhu to the club.
Our home ground is located at Fehlberg Park and home to the famous Norman Gray, Bob Young and Jack Cooke ovals.
We field teams in the Queensland Premier Cricket competitions including each of the six grades of Men’s cricket, second grade Women’s team and a team in the Lord's Taverners (boys U16) competition.
We also work closely with the local juniors clubs to create pathways for young players wanting to play senior cricket.
